Borders Buses have a rare and exciting opportunity for a skilled PSV/HGV Mechanic to join their team in Galashielsto help maintain our fleet and ensure we operate to the highest possible standards.


Main responsibilities include:

  • Vehicle maintenance, servicing and repairs on the varied fleet, including MOT preparation
  • Prompt repair of all defective vehicles to the highest standard in a timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in accordance with the Company’s Operator Licence
  • The ability to organise daily workload, communicate effectively and work flexibly
  • The ability to work to the highest health & safety standards

Job requirements:
Essential:

  • You will have a qualification in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair to NVQ/SVQ Level 3 or international equivalent
  • 2 years experience
  • An understanding of DVSA compliance
  • Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

  • Full Category D PCV licence (if you don't have it, we can train you through our in-house training school)
