As a Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Customer Order Engineering - Customer Application Engineering (Subsea Wellhead Casing Solution), you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and application support during the tendering and bidding process for our innovative energy products. Your role combines engineering knowledge with commercial awareness to secure projects and build long-term customer relationships.


As a Lead Engineer, Mechanical, Customer Order Engineering - Customer Application Engineering (Subsea Wellhead Casing Solution) , you will be responsible for:



  • Collaborating with customers to understand technical specifications and application requirements for tender submissions.
  • Interpreting, creating, reviewing, and releasing engineering bill of materials, drawings, and specifications to support bid proposals.
  • Preparing technical documentation, compliance statements, and application notes for tender packages.
  • Working closely with Project Management, Quality, Sourcing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure proposals are feasible and aligned with company capabilities.
  • Providing technical input to commercial teams to develop bids that meet customer expectations and industry standards.
  • Conducting product presentations, demonstrations, and technical clarifications during pre-bid and post-bid discussions.
  • Monitoring risks and proactively suggesting improvements or corrective actions in tender strategies.
  • Ensuring adherence to HSE & Quality policies, actively participating in related programs and training.

To be successful in this role you will:



  • Hold a Bachelors in mechanical engineering or a relevant technical discipline such as industrial design.
  • Have good experience in Customer Requirements Management.
  • Have significant experience in application engineering, project engineering, or customer-facing technical roles, with exposure to tendering and bid processes in subsea wellhead or subsea production system.
  • Possess good knowledge of engineering processes, quality standards, and industry regulations (e.g., API 6A, 17D, 5CT, 5L, NACE MR0175).
  • Be skilled in interpreting engineering bill of materials, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (both written and spoken) for engaging with clients and cross‑functional teams during tender negotiations.
  • Have proficiency in providing cost estimates and articulating value propositions.
  • Show a logical, structured approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making under time‑sensitive bid conditions.
  • Exhibit a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement, customer satisfaction, and winning tenders.
