Job Title: Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler

Salary: Up to £35,000 (DOE)

Job Type: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Location: On-site, Herefordshire


About the Opportunity: A well-established engineering organisation in Herefordshire is seeking a Senior Electro-Mechanical Assembler to take a leading role within their manufacturing team.

You will be responsible for building complex electro-mechanical assemblies, ensuring exceptional quality standards, and guiding a small team of assemblers to achieve consistent, reliable results.


Key Responsibilities:

· Assemble and test sub-assemblies, power modules, and complete systems from detailed build documentation.

· Maintain the highest standards of accuracy and workmanship in line with strict quality procedures.

· Mentor and support junior assemblers, promoting best practices across the team.

· Record build data and maintain accurate production documentation.

· Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and throughput.

· Collaborate with quality and engineering colleagues to ensure smooth production flow.


Essential Skills & Experience:

· Minimum 5 years’ experience in electro-mechanical assembly or similar environment.

· Soldering to IPC 610 standard (current certification required).

· Strong rework and fault-finding skills.

· Understanding of PCB manufacturing and rework processes.

· Knowledge of IPC 620, J-STD-001, or IPC-7711/7721 is advantageous.

· Computer literate with strong attention to detail.

· Eligible for BPSS clearance and from a NATO country with right to work in the UK or a sole British National.
