Principal/Associate Mechanical Data Centre Engineer
Location: UK - Flexible (Main Hubs are Belfast, Manchester, Cardiff, St Albans, or London)

Are you an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer with a passion for data centres?


Our client is seeking a technical expert to lead mechanical projects within a multi‑disciplinary team across the UK and EMEA.


This role is pivotal in maintaining and growing their position in the Hyperscale and Co‑location segments of the Data Centre market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical projects in the Data Centre sector, ensuring high‑quality technical delivery.
  • Develop project deliverables, manage teams, and set standards for mechanical engineering.
  • Provide strategic oversight and mentorship within the EMEA Data Centre sector.
  • Partner with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Monitor project risks and ensure seamless, on‑time delivery of services.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in delivering mechanical projects for Data Centres and Mission Critical Environments.
  • Strong client‑facing technical experience and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • In‑depth knowledge of mechanical design and engineering practices for Data Centres.
  • Ability to manage project financials and ensure successful project outcomes.
