Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Physiotherapy Assistant to work within the Acute Rehabilitation team at the Conquest Hospital.

You will be required to work alongside Physiotherapists autonomously carrying out exercise programmes, maintenance programmes and rehabilitation sessions planned by a Physiotherapist. You will be joining a supportive team passionate about caring for the residents of East Sussex. You will have the opportunity to attend an in-service training programme and complete supervision sessions with your line manager.

You will be responsible for completing data inputting and assisting with the ordering of equipment to ensure timely discharge for patients across the trust.

To undertake specific support work to aid in the rehabilitation of patients.

To undertake responsibilities for patient care and support within the physiotherapy service as described below.



  • To assist the physiotherapists with complex cases that require two people to treat.
  • To work unsupervised, reporting back on patient progress and informing the physiotherapist of any problems.
  • To assist in the induction of new assistant staff, students and rotational junior physiotherapists.
