We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated Manufacturing / Mechatronics Engineering Apprentices to join our team! If you’re eager to learn, excited about engineering, and ready to earn while you learn, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Process Of Applying

Applicants should apply to one of the approved Higher Level Apprenticeship (HLA) programmes relevant to this role. Suitable courses include: Higher Level Apprenticeship in Mechatronics (part‑time, 1 day per week study with employer support at SERC campuses in Bangor or Lisburn), Higher Level Apprenticeship in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (delivered at Northern Regional College, Ballymena – Farm Lodge campus) or Level 5 Higher Level Apprenticeships in Engineering (Manufacturing) or Engineering (Mechatronics) delivered by South West College, Omagh / Dungannon. Candidates must apply separately to their chosen college and meet the entry requirements for the programme.

The closing date for applications to this role is 30th March 2026. Interviews will be held 20th–24th April 2026. Successful candidates will be made a conditional offer of employment, subject to acceptance and enrolment onto one of the above Higher Level Apprenticeship programmes.

About The RoleMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesGet hands‑on with real engineering work
  • Assist in operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery.
  • Work with cutting‑edge automated systems, robotics, and PLCs.
  • Help diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain mechatronic systems to keep operations running smoothly.
Learn Essential Engineering Skills
  • Carry out routine maintenance on manufacturing and automation equipment.
  • Support production teams by helping resolve technical issues.
  • Contribute to the installation and setup of new machinery and systems.
Prioritise safety & quality
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and health & safety regulations.
  • Demonstrate strong technical awareness and excellent attention to detail.
Work, grow, and collaborate
  • Be an enthusiastic, motivated learner with a willingness to develop new skills.
  • Work effectively as part of a team with good organisation, communication, and emerging leadership skills.
Build your knowledge through training
  • Attend classroom‑based learning sessions to develop theoretical understanding.
  • Take part in structured training and certification programmes throughout your apprenticeship.
