Lead Mechanical Operator - £2000 Welcome Bonus at TieTalent (Mars Wrigley factory, Slough).

Salary: From £40,000 - £48,000 (inclusive of shift allowance) dependant on experience. Welcome bonus: £2,000. Benefits include: performance related company bonus, hot food restaurant, on-site gym, private medical insurance and flu jabs, free on-site parking, and an employee shop with monthly allowance.

Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 day, 2 nights, 4 off) 12-hour shifts. Status: Permanent.


Responsibilities
  • Take the lead for first line maintenance of several production machines, including operational decisions to achieve targets.
  • Identify and repair mechanical breakdowns on various machinery.
  • Be accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
  • Use diagnostic tools and methods to identify root causes of problems.
  • Coordinate a small team of operators and temporary associates to achieve line targets.
  • Assist operators with daily production tasks to ensure line targets are met.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year''s experience managing and coordinating operators.
  • Skilled in diagnosing mechanical issues through systematic troubleshooting techniques.
  • Proficient in taking apart machinery to understand components and functionality, and reassembling it to ensure optimal operation.
  • A keen eye for detail to identify faults or inefficiencies and ensure precision during assembly/disassembly.
  • A commitment to ongoing improvement, including suggesting modifications to machinery or processes to enhance efficiency, safety, or performance.
  • Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating to implement improvements and resolve mechanical issues.
