The role involves:

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will be the linchpin ensuring seamless and efficient IT service delivery across all company sites. This role is your chance to shine by leveraging your strong Infrastructure technical skillset and experience. You will support the business by designing secure and resilient solutions using repeatable processes and automation where possible. Working with the IT Infrastructure Manager, you will help define and implement IT infrastructure strategies, manage supporting documentation, and build effective cross-team ways of working, propelling the company into a future where technology and operational excellence converge. Your key responsibilities will include:

Develop and implement IT infrastructure strategies to support business objectives.
Foster collaboration between central IT and site IT teams to ensure cohesive IT environment.
Define IT systems standards and design.
Ensure clear communication and reporting of IT infrastructure across all sites.
Develop and maintain documentation for IT solutions and procedures.
Provide regular updates to senior management on IT infrastructure status and issues.
Build out automation 

Experience required:

A proven track record in IT infrastructure, with a solid foundation in designing and deploying new solutions.
Analytical and technical prowess, with evidence of integrating IT services into business Infrastructure.
A proactive, dynamic, and motivated individual, capable of thriving in a constantly changing landscape.
Exceptional planning, organization, and adaptability, with a knack for steering through business demands with ease.
ITIL qualifications preferred, underscoring a structured approach to IT service management.
A full UK driving license and have access to personal transport are required.

Skills required:

Deep understanding of AD architecture, GPOs, DNS, replication, and troubleshooting
Experience with AD migrations, upgrades, and integrations
Proficiency in Azure IaaS and PaaS services
Experience with Azure AD, Azure Networking, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
Knowledge of hybrid cloud environments and Azure Site Recovery
Administration of Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive
Experience with M365 security and compliance features
Familiarity with Intune and Endpoint Manager
Proven ability to diagnose complex infrastructure issues
Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and resolve critical incidents
VMware vSphere and Hyper-V
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, and load balancers
PowerShell
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or ARM Desirable.
Understanding of identity and access management (IAM)
Secure design concepts
Experience with enterprise backup solutions and DR planning
Ability to lead infrastructure projects and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
