How You’ll Make a Difference

Working closely with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and pet owners, you will help deliver coordinated rehabilitation plans that optimise recovery following surgery, injury, or illness. In this role, you’ll work with advanced rehabilitation facilities and a multidisciplinary clinical team to support complex orthopaedic, neurological and medical cases, helping patients regain mobility and quality of life.


You will work 19 hours per week, on average – Monday 10 am – 6:30 pm, Wednesday 9 am – 6:30 pm, plus 1 in 4 Saturdays 8 am – 4:30 pm.



  • Provide hydrotherapy and physiotherapy treatments to inpatients and outpatients within the rehabilitation service
  • Liaise with clinicians, veterinary nurses, and owners to ensure a coherent and effective patient care plan
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt rehabilitation plans to support recovery and mobility
  • Manage daily hydrotherapy water quality and maintain equipment and stock levels
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners, offering guidance, support, and aftercare advice
  • Ensure all treatments are accurately recorded, charged, and paid for at the time of service
  • Work collaboratively within the wider rehabilitation team and support service development as needed

You Might Be a Great Fit If...

  • You are an enthusiastic and proactive veterinary physiotherapist who is passionate about animal rehabilitation and enjoys working in a collaborative clinical environment. You’ll bring:
  • A BSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy and a minimum Level 3 Hydrotherapy qualification in Small Animals
  • Previous experience performing hydrotherapy and physiotherapy in small animals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with colleagues and pet owners
  • The ability to work both collaboratively within a team and independently using your own initiative
  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills with a commitment to patient safety and high standards of care
  • Experience within a veterinary referral centre is desirable but not essential.
