Are you ready to shape the future of connected medical devices by leading secure, scalable IoT solutions?


Proclinical is recruiting for an IoT Engineer to lead the design, implementation and maintenance of secure, scalable solutions for medical devices. In this role, you'll join a fast‑paced, collaborative environment where you'll contribute to innovative technologies transforming respiratory care worldwide. You will play a key part in advancing both development and commercialisation activities while ensuring all solutions adhere to required regulatory standards.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end IoT device connectivity, including firmware, software, and configuration management.
  • Assess third‑party device management platforms for remote monitoring, updates, and optimisation.
  • Ensure reliable data flow between devices, integration platforms, and cloud-based applications.
  • Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and mitigate mobile connectivity risks and issues.
  • Work closely with suppliers and network operators to enhance roaming agreements and overall operational performance.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation in line with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
  • Provide operational support through lifecycle management activities and issue resolution.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of IoT technologies, including cellular modems, GSMA-3GPP standards, and embedded systems.
  • Proficiency in C programming for resource-constrained environments.
  • Experience in system design, integration, and secure architecture development.
  • Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, including Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to write clear, concise technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, and ISO 27001.
  • Desirable: Experience with Python, RTOS, SQL, Tableau, and IoT protocols like MQTT and REST APIs.
