Pump Mechanic
Up to $36 per hour + OT
$75,000 per year


Pump Mechanic / Shop Technician / Shop Foreman required for a pump distributor and service provider based in Austin, Texas.


Pump Mechanic / Shop Technician / Shop Foreman will be responsible for leading the industrial and submersible pump departments, overseeing technicians on assembly and repair of centrifugal, vertical turbine, split case and submersible pumps. Based on site in Austin, Texas.


Pump Mechanic / Shop Technician / Shop Foreman will have proven experience in repair and assembly of industrial pumps such as centrifugal, vertical turbine and submersible.

Responsibilities for Pump Mechanic / Shop Technician / Shop Foreman

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the pump shop, with primary focus on industrial pump repair and assembly on site in Austin, Texas.
  • Act as technical lead and mentor for junior and mid-level pump mechanics
  • Oversee teardown, rebuild, and assembly of Vertical turbine pumps, Split case pumps, Industrial and centrifugal pump systems
  • Coordinate work across two shop departments, industrial & submersible
  • Work closely with management to improve processes and quality
  • Ensure safety procedures and best practices are followed in the shop
  • Serve as the go to expert when complex or unfamiliar pump issues arise

Requirements for Pump Mechanic / Shop Technician / Shop Foreman

  • Strong background in industrial pumps, specifically Vertical turbine pumps, Split case pumps, positive displacement pumps, centrifugal pumps and wastewater pumps
  • Proven experience in a shop mechanic / shop technician / pump mechanic / pump technician / service technician / maintenance technician / mechanic / shop foreman / repair technician / pump supervisor / field manager position
  • Solid mechanical troubleshooting and rebuild skills
  • Experience across both industrial and waste water pumps
  • Based in Austin, Texas or plan to relocate
