Join a large industrial client in Basildon as a skilled and reliable **Mechanical Fitter** on a role with excellent career progression opportunities—with the potential to move into a permanent position after the probation period.

**Working Hours:**

* Monday to Thursday: 06:45 – 15:45
* Friday: 06:45 – 11:45
Total: 39 paid hours per week

Pay & Benefits

Starting salary: £13.00 p/h
Salary review after 3 months, with potential increase based on performance
* **Overtime available**, including Saturdays and Sundays paid at time and a half
* Early Friday finish for better work-life balance
* Opportunity to work within a supportive and skilled team
* **Full training provided**

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Assembly, installation, and maintenance of mechanical components and equipment
* Mechanical assembly using power tools based on customer requirements
* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications
* Carrying out routine inspections and fault finding
* Ensuring all work is completed to high quality and safety standards
* Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team

**Requirements:**

* Must be able to use power tools
* Physically fit and able to carry out hands-on, physically demanding work
