Overview

We are currently looking for Mechanical Fitters to join one of our clients on a contract basis. Working on a variety of heavy engineering/engineering construction sites around the UK and Ireland. The client is a market-leading manufacturer, supplier and installer of specialist rotating equipment to a range of industry sectors including heavy engineering, power generation and petro-chemical.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out a range of mechanical fitting duties including helping to remove equipment, planned and preventative maintenance of equipment and breakdown repairs.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Experienced Mechanical Fitters with proven experience in heavy engineering/engineering construction environments.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings is preferable.
  • Previous experience of mechanical fitting and working away on site is preferred as is experience of working in heavy engineering and construction environments.
  • A relevant recognised qualification is desirable although not essential.
  • Previous experience of carrying out slinging and lifting would also be useful but not essential.
  • A current CCNSG Site Safety Passport is useful but not essential.
  • NEACI “Blue Book” rates will apply to this mechanical fitting role which will include overtime, travel expenses, lodge and travel time.
