The Role

As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in building and assembling mechanical components for custom-built aircraft refuelling vehicles.


This is a hands-on position within a skilled engineering team, where you’ll work on high-spec projects from start to finish.

Full training is provided, ensuring you’re fully supported to learn the company’s specialist systems, processes, and products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble and fit mechanical components on bespoke refuelling vehicles and equipment
  • Work from engineering drawings and schematics to complete builds accurately
  • Use a wide range of hand and power tools (drills, grinders, riveters, etc.)
  • Carry out basic fabrication tasks and support general workshop duties
  • Ensure all work meets company quality and Health & Safety standards
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to achieve production targets


Requirements

  • Proven experience in vehicle assembly/building (ideally HGV or special-purpose vehicles)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/schematics
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools
  • Basic fabrication and Health & Safety awareness
  • Full UK driving licence


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with pneumatic and/or hydraulic systems
  • Background in aircraft refuelling vehicle assembly (advantageous but not essential)
