We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable registered nurse to join the new Community Treatment and Care team in Newcastleton. The role will involve working in a clinic and supporting District Nurses in a community environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, person-centred nursing care in clinic and community settings.
  • Work autonomously in a busy environment at a fast pace.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and use IT systems effectively.
  • Travel to community locations using personal vehicle; must hold full driving licence.
  • Participate in team meetings and continuous professional development.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Registered nurse.
  • Experience in community or clinical nursing preferred; full training will be provided.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to use IT systems.
  • Access to a vehicle and full driving licence.

Family-friendly hours spread across the week, Monday – Friday. Occasional weekend work may become available.

Additional Information

As from 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part-time hours will be reduced pro-rata; hourly rate will increase accordingly so pay is not affected.

Due to legislative changes from 1 April 2025, this post may require a different level of criminal records check. If the post is assessed as a regulated role, your appointment will be subject to joining the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme. Any change to the current requirements will be confirmed by the Hiring Manager or Recruitment Team.

To work in the United Kingdom, you must demonstrate appropriate right to work. This is granted by the UK Visa and Immigration Service. NHS Scotland will check your entitlement to work in the UK as part of pre-employment checks.

For some roles, you may be able to secure sponsorship via a UK Skilled Worker/Health & Care Worker Visa, only if the employer is a licensed sponsor and the post meets the minimum salary threshold. Please ensure you have the right to work or the post is sponsor-eligible before applying.
