Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About Us

Newtown Garage is a busy, well-established family-run independent workshop based in Chesham. We support both retail customers and vehicle sales preparation, and pride ourselves on maintaining a friendly, professional working environment with consistent workflow.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic / Diagnostic Technician to join our small, supportive team .
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician seeking a stable long-term role in a busy workshop where their experience will be valued.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment

Work on a wide range of petrol and diesel vehicles

Complete vehicle inspections and preparation work

Ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard

Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards

Candidate Requirements

Proven experience as a Vehicle Mechanic / Technician (essential)

Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills (essential)

MOT Tester licence desirable but not required

Ability to work independently and within a team

Reliable, professional and detail-focused

Full UK driving licence
