Job Description

Job responsibilities and duties are carried out within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, delivering a full range of therapies to support rehabilitation for inpatients and outpatients, helping clients carry progress into daily life. Our clients have experienced catastrophic life-changing injuries and require a holistic approach to maximise potential. You will be supported with training and CPD needs, contribute to service development, and may engage in research with local university partners.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a high-quality physiotherapy service as part of the MDT.
  • Carry out specialist assessments independently for patients with complex neurological conditions.
  • Develop personalised problem lists, treatment plans, and rehabilitation goals.
  • Design and implement 24-hour postural management programmes, including specialist seating, positioning, and splinting.
  • Assess and manage increased muscle tone and spasticity.
  • Supervise and support therapy assistants and student physiotherapists.
  • Contribute to education of relatives, carers, and MDT colleagues.
  • Actively participate in MDT meetings and provide feedback and collaborative input.
  • Produce detailed review reports for patients, families, and commissioners.
  • Promote collaboration and communication within the MDT.
  • Safeguard individuals from harm and uphold human rights.

Person Specification

Qualifications



  • HCPC registration.

Experience



  • Post-qualification experience in neurorehabilitation or complex care (including ABI/TBI).
  • Well-developed clinical reasoning and commitment to person-centred practice.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvement.
  • Enthusiasm for developing skills and embracing innovation.
