Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and motivated Band 6 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist to work in our busy outpatient physiotherapy department, within North Bristol NHS Trust.

We are looking for a physiotherapist who is passionate about delivering a high quality, evidence-based physiotherapy service to patients following orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery or with musculoskeletal conditions/injuries. You should have evidence of time spent working at Band 5/6 level or equivalent and experience of working in a musculoskeletal outpatient setting.

Responsibilities
  • Provide autonomous high-standard physiotherapy assessment and treatment in Musculoskeletal Outpatients.
  • Manage patients with a wide range of MSK, neurosurgical and orthopaedic conditions, some of which may be complex, potentially across different sites within North Bristol NHS Trust.
  • Offer education and supervision to students and other Health Care Professionals. Provide patients and carers with relevant advice and information to enable them to manage their condition.
  • Participate in the weekend orthopaedic rota; one weekend day every four weeks.
  • Supervise other team members and contribute to the induction and in-service training programme.
  • Possess good organisational skills and be competent using multiple computer systems.
Requirements and Experience
  • Evidence of working at Band 5/6 level or equivalent and experience in a musculoskeletal outpatient setting.
  • Eligible to work as a physiotherapist with the ability to provide high standard therapy in MSK Outpatients.
  • Willingness to work across sites within North Bristol NHS Trust as needed.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy department.
