Our expertise spans the design, construction, and maintenance of buildings and critical infrastructure worldwide. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our facilities team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol.


Responsibilities

  • Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Provide technical engineering support within the Hard FM Services department by carrying out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities.
  • Respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI’s.
  • Manage sub-contractors as necessary working to a safe system of work and permit-to-work system.
  • Undertake AP/RP duties for the disciplines for which you have been appointed.

Qualifications

  • Recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience; AP in HV desirable.
  • Previous supervisory and mentoring experience essential.
  • Experience in building services maintenance, in particular HVAC and AHUs is essential.
  • Willingness to attain cross skilling and IT Literate.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate good planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Ability to show examples of using initiative and judgement to resolve problems.
  • Experience in a Healthcare environment an advantage.
  • Must have a good understanding of health & safety best practice; formal training an advantage.
