Showing a professional approach and rigor to their works whilst remaining a team player and open to supporting others with technical knowledge and experience. Can speak and present their knowledge and ideas, with internal peers, management, and representing Introba externally with clients, collaborators and the wider industry. Seeking, receiving and responding to feedback, Understand the commercial and contractual arrangements of engineering consultancy, company standards and ways of working, and our specific duties on a project-by-project basis.# Responsibilities & QualificationsThe Senior Mechanical Engineer will lead the design, coordination, and management of Mechanical systems for diverse building projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, manage project timelines, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a key technical lead within the organisation. To deliver the mechanical engineering consultancy process day to day by knowing and performing the company’s duties via the ACE Agreement, Company standards, across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work. To collaborate with the other engineering consultancy disciplines, clients and external project teams to develop coordinated, and efficient designs. Represent the company on projects of various scales, with only periodic quality review by Associates or Directors proportional to complexity and scale of the project. Work to enhance the reputation of Introba and demonstrate continued professional development to CEng status.Technical tasks:* Define and develop projects briefs to deliver mechanical engineering and fire protection systems to the client’s and statutory requirements.* Design and detail mechanical and fire engineering systems.* Prepare detailed design drawings in sketch form suitable for presenting concepts to Clients and other Design Professionals.* Keep abreast of project design developments with architectural, structural, and services constraints. Read and comment on the Fire Safety Strategies.* Advise other Construction Team Professionals on their own activities related to Building Services.* Illustrate concepts and prepare written reports.* Understand and be able to deliver net zero carbon and energy conscious designs.* Effect and implement programs to improve the quality of our service, products and systems to meet client's requirements and expectations and to minimise costs and maximise the company's competitive position.* Instil the concept of quality being the responsibility of every design team member the office or when staff is on vacation.* Promote quality issues with all members and in particular ensures that the quality control function is effectively performed.* Understand the quality assurance and control programs in the office.* Keep current on new developments in innovative design; included in this is participating in seminars and / or professional associations, attend trade shows relevant to company’s interests.* Prepare complete packages of tender information.* Monitor and report on the quality and progress of work on site.* Conversant with relevant and up to date codes of practice and standards.* Technical review reports prior to internal review.People:* Work within Team environment and be able to instruct be able to lead mechanical design delivery teams and Revit co-ordinators in their work as it relates to the project and support staff in their work as it relates to the projects under the Senior Engineer’s control.* Provide and manage project/team specific activities and assist in developing project action plans and design programmes.Financial:* Manage projects to achieve Client satisfaction and profitability targets.* Understand workload forecasting as new projects are secured.Marketing:* Identify new work opportunities with Client and other professionals.Skills and Cualifications:* Degree in Mechanical engineering / Building Services Engineering / or other relevant design & engineering degree.* Professional Engineer (CEng or equivalent)* Technically competent: Building Regulations, CDM, British Standards, best practices on BSRIA and CIBSE guidance.* Desired knowledge of Healthcare Technical Memorandums, FPA/ LPC Sprinkler Rules, Heat Networks Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) or capability to do develop.* Construction Process Aware.* Good Communicator.* Achieved or on route to CIBSE, SoPHE, or IMechE CEng status.* Current experience with Bluebeam Review, Navisworks, REVIT, Microsoft Office suites.* Project Management experience desired.* Represent the practice at project level.* Proven experience in leading engineering projects and teams# Additional Information#LI-HybridWith offices across the UK, Australia, Canada, US, and Serbia staffed by engineers, planners, designers, and consultants, we are always looking for top talent to join our ranks.As an Introba team member, you'll enjoy competitive pay, top-notch wellbeing benefits, and a mental health support programme.
