Job Description

Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit! Reporting to the Balance of Plant Lead, the Senior Mechanical Engineer shall be responsible for developing a fluid system. The Senior Mechanical Engineer shall work closely with multi-disciplined teams and the supply chain to help deliver the system design.

Your mission:

  • Lead Fluid System Development: Manage a small team to develop fluid systems. Re
  • view Design Documents: Develop and review Process Flow Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams, Layout Drawings, Component Sizing Calculations, Datasheets, and Specifications. Co
  • nduct Optioneering: Lead and review optioneering studies, Decision Record Files, Design Descriptions, and Requirement Specifications. Ap
  • ply Systems Engineering: Develop and review Functional and Design Requirements using Systems Engineering principles.️ In
  • tegrate System Design: Ensure the fluid system design integrates seamlessly into the wider power plant. Pr
  • ovide Technical Support: Act as the technical contact for interfaces and stakeholder activities. Su
  • pport Design Reviews: Participate in Design Reviews and HAZID/HAZOP studies with multidisciplinary teams.️ L
  • iaise on Safety: Collaborate with the safety team on nuclear safety licensing, environmental planning/permitting, and related interface activities. En
