We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Application Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of subsea energy.


Partner with the best

As a Senior Mechanical Application Engineer, you will be a key technical interface between our customers, commercial teams, and engineering functions. You’ll be responsible for translating customer requirements into robust, fit-for-purpose subsea equipment solutions—supporting tenders, front-end engineering, and project execution.


Responsibilities

  • Leading mechanical engineering input for subsea tenders, studies, and early engagement activities.
  • Interpreting client specifications and translate them into compliant, cost-effective technical solutions.
  • Developing and reviewing mechanical designs, layouts, and technical documentation for subsea systems and components.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, manufacturing, sourcing, and project engineering.
  • Providing technical support to commercial teams during bid preparation and client presentations.
  • Ensuring solutions meet applicable industry standards (API, ISO), internal design practices, and customer requirements.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the team.
  • Supporting risk assessments, design reviews, and lessons learned activities.

Qualifications

  • Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Have proven experience in mechanical design or application engineering within the subsea oil & gas sector.
  • Have a strong understanding of Subsea Production Systems, with detailed knowledge of Subsea Christmas Trees, Tubing Hangers and their associated tooling.
  • Be proficient in the use of engineering software (e.g. AutoCAD, MathCAD, Teamcenter)
  • Have experience of requirement management and interface management, and proficiency in the use of relevant software (e.g. DOORs, SmartPDF)
  • Have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
