About the Company

Our client is a well-established and growing building services consultancy, delivering innovative mechanical, electrical, and environmental design solutions across a variety of sectors. Their projects span commercial, industrial, residential, healthcare, and mixed‑use developments. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their expanding team in Birmingham.

The Role

Working within a multi‑disciplinary team, you'll be responsible for the design and delivery of high‑quality mechanical building services projects. You'll liaise directly with clients and project teams, manage workloads, and provide technical guidance to colleagues while promoting sustainable design principles.

Essential Criteria
  • Degree or relevant qualification in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in mechanical building services design
  • Strong technical knowledge of British Standards and Codes of Practice
  • Competent user of EDSL TAS and industry‑standard design software
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time‑management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team
Desirable Criteria
  • Membership of a professional body (e.g., CIBSE)
  • Engineering Council registration
  • Understanding of sustainable design principles
  • Full UK driving licence
