An established aerospace engineering organisation in Warwickshire is seeking Trainee Turbine Mechanics to join its expert team. As a Trainee Turbine Mechanic, you will play a key role in the disassembly, inspection, repair, overhaul, and testing of Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) and turbine engines, ensuring all work meets CAA/EASA and FAA regulatory requirements, OEM specifications, and internal quality standards.


This is an exciting opportunity for candidates with some proven mechanical aptitude and previous engineering workshop experience to build a long‑term career in aerospace maintenance.



  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, repair, and reassemble APUs, small engines, and related subassemblies.
  • Diagnose faults and identify performance issues.
  • Use precision measuring tools and test equipment to confirm compliance with technical specifications.
  • Interpret and apply maintenance manuals, engineering orders, and service bulletins.
  • Accurately record all maintenance actions in line with regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Maintain high safety and quality standards at all times.

Ideal Candidate Profile:



  • Strong mechanical aptitude with solid troubleshooting skills.
  • Recognised engineering apprenticeship preferred (relevant experience in a similar environment may also be considered).
  • Ability to work to technical drawings and maintenance manuals.
  • Ability to use verniers, calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (grade C/5 or above) including English, Maths, and a Science subject (or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
