Purpose of the position: As ROV Tooling Technician (mechanical) you will be part of the ROV Asset department and will report to the Lead ROV Tooling Technician. You will support in the maintenance, repair, refurbishment and preparation of ROV tooling equipment for use on Saipem ROV worksites, in accordance with Company's Quality and Safety Policy and Procedures.


How can you support us? Here below are your responsibilities:



  • Carry out the ROV subsea tooling equipment repair and preparation activities, located in Aberdeen workshop.
  • Gain experience and knowledge on all ROV tooling equipment used for offshore operations.
  • Perform strip-down, maintenance, refurbishment and re-assembly of ROV tooling equipment.
  • Provide technical support to the building of new ROV tooling equipment as required by projects.
  • Contribute to the process of preparing paperwork related to the ROV Tooling maintenance and build activities.
  • Perform packing activities, spares checks and quality control checks on tooling equipment prior to shipment.
  • Keep workshop tools and equipment in good and operational order.
  • Adhere to the Company's Quality and Safety Policy and Procedures in everyday activities.
  • Assist the Lead ROV Tooling Technician during tooling support activities.

What are we looking for?


Education: Industry training in Engineering disciplines, with a mechanical or hydraulic background, and time-served experience. Mechanical discipline preferred.


Experience: Proven mechanical/hydraulic experience in a similar workshop environment.


Technical skills: Solid mechanical/hydraulic knowledge, including assembly and fault-finding activities. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals. Good understanding of ROV tooling systems and subsea equipment. Familiarity with workshop tools, lifting equipment and safe working practices.


IT skills: Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications). Ability to complete maintenance records, checklists and technical documentation.
