Radio Technician - South West England

This role is pivotal to ensure seamless operations of these systems.

Location: Travel required around South West England - Devon and Cornwall

Total Package

  • Up to £34,000 base salary

  • 5% Shift Allowance

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide 24/7 fault response to maintain service continuity

  • Complete planned works and maintenance on a range of systems and networks, DAB, FM, AM etc

  • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards, policies and procedures

  • Support upgrades and modifications to existing RF (Radio frequency) systems and networks following agreed instructions

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation and reporting of actions taken

  • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, industry and customer requirements

  • Engage with customers and build positive working relationships

  • Career progression next step in your career would be to become an engineer

    Preferred experience:

  • Must have a Clean driving license

  • Some knowledge of the development, testing and maintenance of software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application depending on technical area of expertise

  • Working knowledge of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.;.

  • Working knowledge of the principles of power supplies, environmental controls, analogue and digital electronics

  • Working knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures

  • Be prepared to work away from home at times

  • Electrical knowledge (NVQ level 3 electrical qualifications) is not required but would be nice to have
