Location: Gerrards Cross, Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom

    Key Accountabilities:

  • • Complete planned works and maintenance on the full range of systems and networks within the operating environment
    • Respond to faults and service outages and complete corrective maintenance in line with Arqiva standards policies and procedures
    • Be comfortable imparting knowledge to other engineers, including technical advice to other engineers
    • Contribute to the delivery of projects through the provision of technical advice, installation, end to end testing and commissioning support and service transition
    • Implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems and networks
    • Maintain accurate records, documents and reporting of actions taken
    • Complete testing and measurements to ensure compliance with regulatory, security, industry and customer requirements

    Required Expertise:

  • • Working knowledge of the development, testing and maintenance of bespoke and COTS (Common off the Shelf) software/hardware for Broadcast, IP Network, IOT or corporate application depending on technical area of expertise
    • Experience with processes, standards and engineering practices related to monitoring and controlling (M&C)
    • Comprehensive knowledge of networking principles
    • Comprehensive knowledge of building and trouble shooting of IDirect networks including the use if Linux Command line.
    • Experience of maintenance and fault resolution on complex media systems; supports root cause analysis to resolve complex or recurring problems

    Required Technical / Professional Skillset(s):

    • Specialises in one or more areas of systems and equipment relevant to role such as RF systems, DVB, Analogue Radio, DAB, Microwaves, Sat Comms, Data Networks, Telecoms etc.;
    • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the techniques and applications of computer network systems
    • Comprehensive knowledge of and able to apply Safety, Health and Environment legislation, policies and procedures
    • Able to conduct complex measurements
