Pulmonary Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

An opportunity has arisen for a Respiratory Physiotherapist to join our highly motivated and successful pulmonary rehabilitation team.

The team is made up of nurses, physiotherapists and therapy assistants and delivers pulmonary rehabilitation at 5 sites across Dudley and within patient's homes. We deliver a high quality specialist service which all team members are proud of.

This is an excellent role for an enthusiastic practitioner with strong clinical knowledge of respiratory disease to develop the expertise in respiratory health and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Main duties of the job

This is a senior physiotherapist post requiring significant post graduate experience.

The post holder will be responsible for assessment and treatment of patients within the specialty who may have complex and/or chronic presentations and will provide highly specialist advice to other clinical areas and members of the multi-disciplinary team.

The post holder will also undertake a co-ordinating role in the delivery of the service within their specific clinical area on a day-to-day basis.

  • Honors Degree in Physiotherapy
  • HCPC Registered
  • Specialist Respiratory/Pulmonary Rehabilitation Course
Skills & Experience
  • Experience at band 5 level
  • Experience treating Respiratory patients
  • Evidence of MDT working
  • Knowledge of relevant clinical audit and guidelines
  • Experience assessing/treating patients in a community setting
Communication & Interpersonal Skills
  • Able to teach patients and staff using a variety of communication techniques
  • Ability to work alone and in a team
  • Able to commute to the needs of the job
  • Adaptable and able to manage change

  • Able to provide safe, caring and effective services
