Job Title: Process Technician – Mechanic


Location: Otterbourne – you will also need to be willing to travel across multiple sites and have a current full driving licence.


Contract Type: Permanent


Hours: 38 hours per week


Salary: Base pay ranges £36,954.02 to £44,344.09 per annum (offer amount depends on skills and experience).


Required qualifications: Level 3 NVQ in mechanical work (Mechanical).

Responsibilities

You will play a vital part in the frontline of day‑to‑day maintenance and repairs to water supply works to ensure all environmental, quality and customer service standards are met, while meeting H&S legislation and achieving budgetary targets.


You will utilise your mechanical knowledge and experience to remain compliant, reduce pollution and keep all sites operational for the benefit of customers. You will have the scope to innovate and introduce solutions, creating continuous improvements into existing processes.


You do not need a background in the water industry; we welcome applications from candidates outside the sector, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas.


Qualifications

  • Level 3 NVQ (Mechanical) qualified.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of water supply works operation and the water treatment process.
  • A problem solver, able to identify potential issues and implement solutions, or escalating if required.
  • An excellent communicator, providing technical expertise to internal and external contractors.
  • Resilient, adapting to the pressures of work and operating in a constantly changing environment.
