Were looking for an experienced

Mechanical Pump Service Engineer (Field Based)

to join our market-leading client, a specialist in pumping equipment solutions with over 60 years experience, covering the

Southeast (rare travel into London )!
Youll work mainly on construction sites managing wastewater, carrying out servicing, breakdown response, and installation of pumping systems, often working alongside a skilled Electrical Engineer.
This role is ideal for someone mechanically biased with hands-on experience in pumps, valves, pipework, water treatment, drainage, or utilities. Nights away are rare (around once a fortnight), with no weekend working.
All applicants must be commutable to the Orpington area.
This is a Full-Time, Permanent position!
What youll be doing
Manage wastewater systems on construction sites across the Southeast (rarely London)
Carry out mechanical servicing, installations, and commissioning of pumps, valves, pipework, pumping stations, kiosks, etc
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical faults to optimise performance
Respond to service calls and emergency breakdowns
Complete detailed site reports and maintain accurate records
Ensure health & safety compliance on all tasks
Deliver excellent customer service and represent the business professionally on-site
Operate and maintain a company van, fully stocked with tools and supplies
Travel across the Southeast with rare nights away (approx. once a fortnight)
Hours
Monday to Friday (Day Shifts) - 40 hours per week
Flexibility required (no weekends)
Pay
£35,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Overtime paid at time 1/3 & time 1/2
Skills/Experience Required
Essential
Hands-on experience with Pumps, Valves, Pipework or similar
A valid UK driving licence
Experience working in wastewater or clean water environments
Preferred
Mechanical engineering qualifications
A background in Utility Maintenance, Water Treatment, Drainage etc
CSCS, First Aid or Confined space training
