We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Operative role at Quality Engineered Products.


This position is based in London, England, United Kingdom (West London). As part of the Estates & Facilities team, you'll be responsible for the maintenance of iconic Grade-listed buildings and a wider estate steeped in heritage.


Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and reactive mechanical maintenance, including plumbing, small electrical works, and general building services.
  • Support and deliver the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme.
  • Supervise on-site contractors and assist with refurbishment and installation projects.
  • Carry out statutory compliance checks and support audits.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to deliver a top‑tier facilities service.

Qualifications

  • A recognised mechanical qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent) is essential.
  • Solid knowledge of statutory compliance: Building Regulations, COSHH, CDM, Asbestos, etc.
  • Hands‑on experience in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance in a building services environment.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills, with a proactive and customer‑focused mindset.
  • A team player committed to health & safety, continuous improvement, and inclusivity.
