Partner with the best

As a Aeroderivative turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be the first point of contact for our global customers on-site.

You will be responsible for leading activities, people and HSE compliance to a high standard.

Safely accomplish the installation, maintenance and repair of Aeroderivative Turbines. The work includes but is not limited to borescope inspections, blade work, combustion/hot section replacements, engine swaps, and other types of maintenance tasks.

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:


  • Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.
  • Perform all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed
  • Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines
  • Execute hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication
  • Troubleshoot complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/ variable speed turbines
  • Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites.
  • Proven extensive experience in performing advanced site maintenance activities on AERO engines such as: Hot section replacement, Top case etc.
  • Technically well-rounded and multi-skilled to address mechanical activities on the gas turbine and troubleshooting (including packages, auxiliary systems and balance of plant (BOP)
  • Knowledge of gas turbine control logic and combustion tuning system (DLE mapping)
  • Additional experience in assessing component residual life is a Strong Plus
  • Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions.
  • Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards.
  • Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures

To be successful in this role you will:


  • 4+ years of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology.
  • Good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping
  • Extensive Experience with gas turbines maintenance activities is required.
  • Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar).
  • Display an impressive customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions.
  • Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding.
  • Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks.
  • Be a motivated self-starter and be able to make key decisions and innovate solutions.
  • Have a good English knowledge.
  • Be available to travel globally 70% of the time
  • Have an EU Passport or a European Work permit.
