Contract: Permanent, full-time (office-based)
Department: Pre-Contract / Estimating
Sectors: Large-scale residential , student accommodation , hotel projects
Reports to: Mechanical Estimating Manager
Were partnering with a leading building services contractor to hire a Mechanical Estimator into a high-performing Pre-Contract team. Youll produce robust tenders and cost plans, collaborate across the supply chain, and help win flagship projects in residential, PBSA and hospitality.
What youll do Produce detailed tender bids and cost plans with accuracy and pace

Manage the day-to-day tender process , maintaining standards and hitting deadlines

Attend mid/post-tender meetings and lead post-tender control actions

Interface with existing and prospective clientsbuilding trust and credibility

Engage with sub-contractors and suppliers : issue enquiries, assess returns, and develop new leads

Work closely with the wider M&E team; while mechanically biased, apply a solid understanding of associated electrical services

Maintain impeccable documentation via electronic control systems

What youll bring Proactive, approachable style; you lead by example and communicate clearly

Comprehensive technical knowledge of Mechanical Building Services

Commercial acumen to ensure tenders are financially sound

Wide supplier/sub-contractor knowledge and market awareness

Comfortable with e-tendering platforms: issuing enquiries and updating documents

Trimble Estimation experience (or similar) and strong general IT skills

Thorough, efficient, and flexible around deadlines

Team player who supports a friendly, high-quality, QA-driven environment
