Mechanical Design Engineer 4 day week! Overview Are you a creative and driven Mechanical Design Engineer looking to make an impact in the world of automation and bespoke machinery? Youll be part of a fast-paced environment where your ideas and expertise will help shape the future of industrial automation. This is based from our clients HQ in Derry and offers a 4 day working week. Responsibilities Develop mechanical design concepts for special purpose machinery, robotic automation, and assembly systems. Deliver cost-effective, high-quality design solutions that meet client specifications and project milestones. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical engineers, project managers, and production staff. Source components and build relationships with suppliers to meet custom design requirements. Produce detailed documentation including BOMs and design reports for internal and external stakeholders. Ensure compliance with relevant quality, environmental, and health & safety standards. Criteria Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. 23 years experience in a mechanical design role, ideally within industrial automation. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks. Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Excellent communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary teams.
