Job Title – Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the Role:

My client is a global leading provider in facilities management and they are looking for a lead engineer to oversee the maintenance of all building services, for one of their prestigious critical contracts located in Hammersmith.

As the Site Lead, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the site maintenance team, ensuring the smooth operation of Mechanical, Electrical, and Fabric services. You’ll play a key role in maintaining compliance with statutory and mandatory standards, driving performance, and delivering exceptional service to our client.

Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the operation, maintenance, and repair of M&E plant and equipment.

* Manage the CAFM system to monitor performance and service delivery.

* Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental standards.

* Supervise specialist contractors and manage minor works.

* Conduct risk assessments, method statements, and work package plans.

* Respond to reactive maintenance and ensure timely completion of PPM tasks.

* Support innovation and continuous improvement across the contract.

Person Specification:

* Mechanical qualifications from a recognised institution (C&Gs / NVQ)

* Experience working in a similar role

* Strong supervisory experience with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
