Overview
We need 2 more 'proper' mechanics to join our team of 6, helping us build towards becoming a premium name for used cars in Kent. You will be based in our busy car dealership in Hildenborough and/or our satellite sites in Strood and Yalding

When we say proper, we mean fix stuff, repair it, fit in with the team, and not just fire a parts cannon at everything.

We need high quality, we need first time fixes, and we incentivise productivity. But we are also realistic, and we recognise that's not always possible all of the time

We are seeking applicants from main dealers and independents

Ideally experience of both.

Ideally a Master Tech, or Level 3 qualified, but time served is absolutely fine.

Ideally specialised in Land Rover, Renault/Nissan, Ford, or VAG

Ideally into motorsports

You'll likely have a love/hate relationship with cars . But you will, however, be very well compensated for the hatred, headaches, blood, sweat and tears that you'll shed working on them all.

Salary is negotiable, but expect £30k - £50k dependent on experience, plus a whole host of additional incentives, and we need technicians at both ends of that scale

We have, or can get, all of the lumpy equipment but having your own tools is a requirement of the job

Why Work For Us
At our garage we value our team and their contributions. We provide a supportive environment, ongoing opportunities for skill development, and a role where you can thrive whilst maintaining a healthy work/life balance

What We Offer
Extremely competitive basic.
Flexible bonus scheme.
Tool alowance.
Flexible working hours.
Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.
As much overtime available as you could possibly want, if your mind can handle it
Optional weekends.
Optional evenings, overtime or full shifts
Cost price parts for your own vehicle.
Free use of the company van.
Free use of the workshop in your own time
Free uniform provided
Get in touch with us if your skillset is high, and your mind is strong enough

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, self employed also available

Benefits:
Profit sharing
Referral programme

Work Location: We have vacancies in Hildenborough, Yalding and Strood, Kent

New Edge Computing Employers to Watch in 2026: UK and Global Companies Shaping Edge Innovation

Edge computing is transforming how data is processed by bringing compute power closer to the source of generation. With the proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT), real‑time analytics, autonomous systems, and latency‑sensitive applications, edge computing has moved from a niche discipline to a core component of digital infrastructure. In 2026, organisations that specialise in or heavily invest in edge computing are expanding their teams to build distributed systems, real‑time analytics platforms, and edge‑optimised AI. For professionals exploring opportunities on www.EdgeComputingJobs.co.uk , understanding which employers are growing, winning contracts, or securing investment is essential. This article highlights the new and high‑growth edge computing employers to watch in 2026, including UK startups, international innovators with a UK presence, and established companies shifting strategy toward edge.

How Many Edge Computing Tools Do You Need to Know to Get an Edge Computing Job?

If you’re trying to start or grow a career in edge computing, it can feel like you’re navigating a maze of tools, frameworks and platforms — Kubernetes, Docker, IoT frameworks, AWS Greengrass, Azure IoT Edge, OpenShift, TinyML toolkits, networking orchestration, real-time streaming frameworks, and on it goes. Scroll job boards and community forums and it’s easy to conclude that unless you master every buzzword imaginable, you’ll never get a job. Here’s the honest truth most edge computing hiring managers won’t necessarily say out loud: 👉 They don’t hire you because you know every edge computing tool — they hire you because you can solve real system problems using the tools you know. Tools matter, yes — but only when they support clear outcomes: reliable systems, performance at scale, secure edge deployments and real business value. So how many edge computing tools do you actually need to know to secure a job? For most edge computing roles, the answer is fewer than you think — and a lot clearer when sorted by fundamentals and roles. This guide shows you what matters, what doesn’t, and how to focus your time wisely so you come across as capable, confident and employable.

What Hiring Managers Look for First in Edge Computing Job Applications (UK Guide)

In today’s fast-evolving tech landscape, edge computing is one of the most sought-after fields — blending distributed systems, embedded systems, networking, cloud, IoT, data and real-time processing. But that also means hiring managers are highly selective. They scan applications fast and look for signals of relevance, impact, technical depth and real-world delivery long before they read every line. This guide demystifies what hiring managers in edge computing look for first in your application — so you can tailor your CV, portfolio and cover letter to jump out of the stack. Whether you’re targeting edge systems roles, embedded IoT edge jobs, edge-native data roles, edge platform engineering or edge-AI positions, this checklist will help you position your experience in a way hiring managers can trust immediately.
