Main duties of the job

So we are now investing in our Estates team in both strategic project management and in the day to day management of our maintenance and buildings. We are interested in hearing from highly motivated, hardworking and committed individuals with experience in their field of work, as well as people looking for a change in career direction.


This is a particularly exciting time to join the team as we undergo a period of significant growth, offering excellent opportunity for progression. We have a wide range of positions available at various levels including project managers, estates officers (mechanical and electrical), supervisors and assistants, so whatever your discipline, background and experience, come and take a look at how you can form part of our brilliant team.

The Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust (RCHT) is the main provider of acute and specialist care services in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We serve a population of around 500,000 people - a figure that can increase significantly with visitors during the busiest times of the year.

Person Specification
Qualifications

  • Recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering/ or other recognised mechanical training
  • City & Guilds Parts 1,2 & 3 or equivalent NVQ
  • ONC or equivalent in relevant subject.

Experience

  • All round knowledge and experience of mechanical maintenance and fault finding in building services, plant and equipment
  • Basic Electrical skills
  • Basic Plumbing skills
  • Basic Carpentry skills
