Complex Homecare Night Shift at Alcedo Care

Join Alcedo Care Barrow as a Complex Care Assistant supporting a complex gentleman in his own home. You will provide compassionate, person‑centred care and companionship throughout the night, supporting independence and quality of life. An experienced team of Complex Carers will deliver comprehensive training so you feel confident and competent.


Base pay: £14.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £14.50 per hour Saturday and Sunday. Shift pattern: Waking night shifts, 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. No driving licence required.


Location: Barrow‑In‑Furness, Barrow. You will be based at a single address.

Responsibilities

As a Complex Care Assistant you will deliver high‑quality, person‑centred support to individuals with complex health needs, including spinal injuries, respiratory conditions, neurological disorders, and others. Duties include:



  • Manual cough assistance and digital stimulation for bowel management
  • Postural and spinal support, PEG care, tracheostomy care
  • Assistance with continence, medication, mobility, meal preparation, and household tasks
  • Promote independence and bring joy to those you support
  • Carry out clinical tasks as required and maintain competency sign‑off from in‑house Registered Nurses
  • Support diverse clients across various homes as directed by the company

Qualifications & Requirements

• At least 6 months of hands‑on care experience in a UK care setting.

• Aged 18 or over.

• Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references required.
