Overview

The successful candidate would be expected to perform preventative maintenance and quality assurance on a wide range of radiotherapy equipment and to liaise with equipment manufacturers to maintain the availability of the treatment units. For this post the successful candidate would have already completed the Varian training courses.


Responsibilities

  • Participate in routine quality assurance (QA) of the treatment and dosimetry equipment and support clinical dosimetry measurements where appropriate.
  • Act as deputy and primary support to the Radiotherapy QA Manager for the Radiotherapy ISO 9001:2015 accredited quality management system and maintain the Radiotherapy Quality Assurance system management software "Q-Pulse".
  • There is approximately a 60:40 split in the above roles with engineering taking precedence.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Successful candidate will be expected to have completed Varian training courses.
  • The candidate is required to be able to demonstrate the Trust values and the responsibilities of the job description.
