Banding: Band 6

Location: Barnet

Start Date: ASAP

Shift Pattern: 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM, Monday to Friday

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Rate: £24 - £27 per hour


Job Description

Our Barnet Therapy Service is seeking a dedicated Band 6 Locum Inpatient Physiotherapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality physiotherapy services to patients within the inpatient setting, focusing on rehabilitation and recovery. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the well-being of our patients, particularly those with elderly and dementia care needs.


Responsibilities

As a Band 6 Locum Inpatient Physiotherapist you will perform comprehensive assessments of inpatients to identify their physiotherapy needs and develop tailored treatment plans. You will implement evidence-based interventions to promote mobility, enhance functional independence, and support overall recovery. You will monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver coordinated care and improve patient experiences. You will educate patients and their families about rehabilitation strategies and the importance of adherence to treatment plans. You will maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with professional standards and organizational policies.


Qualifications and Experiences

  • Must be a registered Physiotherapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Must have a relevant degree in Physiotherapy.
  • Must have inpatient ward experience, ideally with a focus on elderly and dementia care.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Must demonstrate adaptability and commitment to providing patient-centered care.
