We have an opportunity for an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in thephysiotherapydepartment.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. Part time hours may also be considered. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job
  • Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with complex presentations, including advanced clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques and, where appropriate, requesting and interpreting diagnostic imaging.
  • Act as a clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy team, supporting best practice and professional standards.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and delivery of advanced physiotherapy services, including pathway redesign and integration.
  • Work closely with consultants, GPs, advanced practitioners, and other AHPs to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
  • Participate in case conferences, MDT meetings, and referral discussions as a senior clinical voice.

Duties of this role include:

  • Perform comprehensive assessments and diagnoses for patients with complex presentations, including advanced clinical reasoning and differential diagnosis.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment plans, incorporating advanced therapeutic techniques and, where appropriate, requesting and interpreting diagnostic imaging.
  • Act as a clinical lead and role model within the physiotherapy team, supporting best practice and professional standards.
  • Contribute to the strategic development and delivery of advanced physiotherapy services, including pathway redesign and integration.
  • Work closely with consultants, GPs, advanced practitioners, and other AHPs to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Significant post-registration experience, including advanced musculoskeletal or specialist physiotherapy practice.
  • Postgraduate training relevant to advanced practice (e.g. MSc, PGCert, or equivalent).
  • Advanced clinical reasoning, assessment, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working autonomously and in multidisciplinary teams.
