We are recruiting to a part time post working in NHS Highland to cover practices in the Inverness area and Invergordon, within the First Contact Physiotherapy service. This is an exciting opportunity to work as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner in primary care, working alongside GP’s and other professionals. Applications are invited from physiotherapists who have advanced clinical knowledge and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a high standard of clinical care with previous specialist experience in this field. Injection skills and prescribing are part of this role and you will be expected to work toward completion of both if you do not have the qualification on application. Job share and part time applications will be considered.


A full current driving licence and use of car for work purposes is essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions in a primary care setting.
  • Deliver effective injection procedures and support prescribing where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with GP’s and other health professionals to implement comprehensive care plans.
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and comply with NHS Highland clinical standards.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved physiotherapy degree (MPharm, BSc Physiotherapy, BSc Advanced Physiotherapy).
  • Current NHS Scotland Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner registration.
  • Demonstrated experience in advanced musculoskeletal physiotherapy, injection skills and prescribing (or willingness to obtain qualifications).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in multi-disciplinary team.
