Full-time role, 37.5 hours a week on a term time only basis

HMS Sultan, Portsmouth

Due to the nature of this role, you must be eligible for UK Security Clearance at SC level.

Help get better trained personnel to the front line faster - Your role will be delivering high quality MESD training, while supporting trainee development, maintaining training documentation, and upholding the highest standards of safety, security, and professional development.

What you'll be doing
  • To deliver training in MESD modules (Refrigeration/gases/equipment) as directed by the Department Training Manager in accordance with the Training Plan and Sultan Training Standing Operating Procedures.
  • To assist in maintaining and updating training documentation.
  • To assess student course work and provide feedback on performance
  • To be responsible for the duty of care/progression of trainees during the delivery of training.
  • Ensure Company security, health, safety and environmental procedures are implemented and complied with at all times.
  • Maintain CPD recording all training evidence.
What we're looking forEssential Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering
  • Be proficient in the use of IT (hardware/software) within the workplace
  • Consolidated experience or directly employed in Mechanical engineering principles
Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications
  • Category 1 FGAS Certification
  • DCTS Defence Train The Trainer Course or equivalent (successful completion)

This role is offered on a term time basis working 45 weeks per year, with non-working weeks taken 2 weeks at Christmas and Easter and 3 weeks in August. The salary will therefore be pro rata'd and calculated to include contractual annual leave entitlement and bank holidays.
