We have an opportunity for a Senior Physiotherapist to join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a fulltime role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Lead the assessment, treatment, and management of patients with complex conditions within your specialist area (e.g. MSK, neuro, orthopaedics, respiratory).
  • Use advanced clinical reasoning to develop and adjust treatment plans that align with patient goals and evidence-based practice.
  • Provide formal supervision, mentoring, and training to Band 5/Level 1 physiotherapists, assistants, and students.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical pathways, protocols, and outcome measures within your area.
  • Ensure all care is delivered in line with regulatory, professional, and organisational standards (e.g. HCPC, CSP, CQC).
  • Build strong therapeutic relationships with patients and carers to promote engagement, education, and self‑management.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Extensive post-registration experience including complex caseload management and a defined clinical specialty.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship, and organisational skills.
  • Evidence of audit, service development, or quality improvement contributions.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team working ability.
  • Must have previous experience in MSK and Orthopaedics.
  • Experience in hand therapy is desirable.
