We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our client’s Maintenance team across three sites in Mildenhall. This vital role is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of machinery, equipment, and facilities, driving reliability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and repair machinery and associated equipment to the highest standards.
Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective remedial actions promptly.
Disassemble machinery to replace worn or defective components.
Accurately record and update maintenance activities using specialised software systems.
Support and collaborate with visiting service engineers to facilitate repairs and upgrades.
Maintain facilities across all company locations, ensuring safety and compliance.
Act as the primary liaison for off-site contractors, coordinating schedules and work scope.
Analyse processes and equipment to identify potential improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
Provide maintenance support to other business areas as required, demonstrating flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience working with general workshop machinery and equipment.
Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role, ideally within a 24/7 production environment or shift-based operation.
