Senior Mechanical Designer
Location: Warrington (initially 5 days/week in office; occasional site visits or travel to other offices)
£35-41/hour Inside IR35

About the Project
Join the Asset Care Project Delivery team, supporting the Mechanical asset care portfolio, with an initial focus on the WVP Compressor Project. This is a key role delivering high-quality mechanical design solutions that ensure operational safety, compliance, and reliability across a range of critical projects.

Role Overview
As a Senior Mechanical Designer, you will:

Produce engineering design work packages including specifications, drawings, analyses, verification, and assessments that meet legal, functional, and performance requirements.
Ensure designs are delivered on time, within cost, and to the agreed quality standards.
Work closely within a multi-disciplinary design team, collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Contribute to mechanical design of piping systems, machinery, and mechanical handling systems, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and legislation.
Support the integration of designs into operational facilities, providing clear documentation and advice throughout the project lifecycle.
Essential Experience & Skills

Experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferably nuclear.
Proven ability to deliver safe, fit-for-purpose, integrated mechanical designs.
