As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will …

  • Undertake HVAC, mechanical and public health system design across a range of project sectors, including calculations, drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, with experience of Revit being advantageous.
  • Undertake energy modelling using IES software; experience of Part L compliance, NZC assessments, overheating analysis, TM54 and BREEAM HEA04 is highly advantageous.
  • Complete SAP calculations to produce domestic EPCs.
  • Support project delivery from concept through to detailed design and technical coordination.
  • Survey and report on mechanical systems within existing buildings.
  • Monitor, report and support contract administration during construction.
  • Undertake witnessing duties during project handover.
  • Collaborate with clients, design team members, suppliers and contractors to deliver technically robust, efficient solutions.
  • Comply with Brookbanks QA procedures and support wider departments when needed.


What we’re looking for

  • Degree educated in a relevant discipline
  • Strong mechanical design skills across building services
  • IES and Revit experience is desirable
  • Working towards chartership or Chartered
  • Driving license
