Responsibilities
  • Develop 2D CAD drawings, including detailed process flow diagrams (PFD) and process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
  • Prepare 3D CAD/BIM models, covering plant layouts, piping design, isometrics, MTO, general arrangement drawings, detailed drawings, and sketches.
  • Perform layout optimisation engineering throughout design phases to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in 3D model reviews, layout reviews, design reviews, and technical meetings to ensure precision and alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with all design safety factors, tolerances, specifications, standards, codes, legislation, and requirements.
  • Collaborate with multi‑disciplinary engineering teams to achieve a coordinated and cohesive design.
  • Maintain thorough records of the design process in line with best practices, ensuring meticulous documentation.
  • Update and manage databases for CAD/BIM design documentation, keeping everything current and organised.
  • Report status and updates to the management team to keep everyone informed and aligned.
  • Support the team by upholding high standards, meeting targets, and adhering to quality, time, and budget constraints.
  • Mediate and resolve issues with all stakeholders, ensuring solutions are aligned and effective.
  • Adhere to company statutory H&S Policies and rules, maintaining compliance with project and quality standards.
Qualifications
  • Experienced Mechanical Design Engineer or similar role, ready to drive innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborative team player with a knack for transforming concepts into reality through engineering teamwork.
  • Proficient in 2D CAD systems like AutoCAD for creating precise and detailed drawings.
  • Skilled in 3D CAD/BIM systems (Revit, Inventor, Solidworks, Solid Edge, Siemens NX, PDMS, AutoCAD Plant 3D, or similar) for crafting dynamic models and drawings.
  • Professionally qualified in an engineering‑related field, bringing expertise and technical prowess.
  • SC Clearance or the capability to achieve it, ensuring readiness for high‑security projects.
