Role Overview

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Cyber Security, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities across Northamber’s cybersecurity vendor portfolio. You will execute structured outbound call campaigns, build early‑stage pipeline, and drive meaningful engagement that results in meetings, demos, proof‑of‑concepts (POCs), and quote requests.

You’ll work closely with our Cyber Security Vendor Product Sales Managers to support their go‑to‑market plans and align your activities with the overall sales strategy defined by the Sales Director. This is an ideal role for someone energetic, organised, and motivated to break into the cybersecurity channel space and build a successful sales career.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting & Lead Generation

* Execute high‑volume outbound calling, with a target of 50+ calls per day, across targeted vendor campaigns.

* Engage both existing and new Northamber customers to promote cybersecurity product offerings.

* Qualify leads through structured discovery and gather key information needed for progression.

* Generate net new opportunities by creating interest and identifying pain points across partners and MSPs.

Opportunity Creation & Pipeline Building

* Book meetings, demos, and POCs on behalf of Product Sales Managers and vendors.

* Drive quote requests through effective customer engagement and interest qualification.

* Support the creation of a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline aligned to vendor objectives.

* Maintain accurate and detailed activity logs, opportunity notes, and outcomes in CRM.

Vendor Campaign Execution

* Work closely with Cyber Security Product Sales Managers to understand product positioning, target personas, campaign objectives, and vendor messaging.

* Execute outbound engagement across all assigned vendor campaigns to ensure full coverage and measurable results.

* Provide feedback on call outcomes, objections, interest levels, and market sentiment.

Alignment With Sales Strategy

* Ensure all outbound activity aligns to the sales objectives set by the Sales Director.

* Support the wider Cyber Sales team by generating high‑quality leads and passing opportunities seamlessly for follow‑up.

* Contribute to short‑term campaign goals and long‑term revenue growth targets.

CRM & Data Accuracy

* Use CRM as the central platform for logging activities, managing tasks, and tracking lead progression.

* Ensure all interactions, contact details, and outcomes are captured accurately and consistently.

* Provide clear weekly reporting on activity levels, meetings booked, demos scheduled, POCs initiated, and opportunities created.

What Success Looks Like

* Consistently achieving 50+ outbound calls per day across vendor campaigns.

* Delivering a steady flow of qualified meetings, demos, POCs, and quote requests.

* Building meaningful early‑stage pipeline to support vendor growth.

* Strong collaboration with Cyber Product Sales Managers and clear communication with Sales Leadership.

* High CRM accuracy and visibility of all activities.

* Demonstrating ongoing product knowledge growth across the cybersecurity portfolio.

Skills & Experience

Experience in an outbound SDR, telemarketing, or inside sales role (preferably within IT or cybersecurity).

Confidence and resilience when making high‑volume outbound calls.

Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport.

Highly organised, driven, and motivated by targets.

Ability to understand technical concepts and articulate value propositions.

Good CRM discipline and attention to detail.

A proactive, energetic approach to generating sales opportunities.
