A leading nuclear engineering company is looking for a principal mechanical engineer to join the team on a long term contract basis for some of their most exciting projects in the nuclear space.This role will be perfect for a well experienced and knowledgeable principal mechanical engineer who has vast time spent in the highly regulated fields and sectors associated.

  • Job Role - Principal Mechanical Engineer
  • Location - Bristol
  • Contract Length - 12 Months
  • Pay Rates - Up To £75 hour Inside IR35

Key Competencies:

  • Understand concepts and principles, shapes, designs, developments and determines a solution to functional issues
  • A full knowledge and understanding of all health and safety matters
  • Work as the subject matters expert and mechanical engineering specialist
  • Technically manage the scope of engineering to ensure it meets project quality requirements and deadlines
  • Ensure that procedures, codes and standards are correctly identified and applied to engineering and technical activities
  • Ensure adequate review, verification and approvals are undertaken on all deliverables
  • Ensure you are supervising engineers and technical specialists to align with project scope

Essential Qualifications:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant field with significant demonstratable experience.
  • Chartership (Desired)
  • Time spent in managing teams
  • Experience covering a wide range tasks across a range complexities.
